Raj joined Sigma in August 2018 as Commercial Director. He is currently responsible for working alongside the Executive team to drive the company towards achieving commercial success while also overseeing the group’s marketing activity. Raj has played a critical role in growing Sigma’s Parallel Import Turnover, and he works closely with the Operations and Procurement Directors to grow Sigma’s distribution market share. He is also MD of OPD and RX Farma, leading both companies in their growth, development and improvement of their supply chains.
Raj relocated to the UK from the USA in 2002. He worked with the board at Nucare to manage the 35 strong pharmacy retail group. He went on to work at Avicenna as Commercial Director where he was instrumental in building their membership and working with the CEO to grow shareholder value. These roles enabled Raj to build a solid network with community pharmacy stakeholders at all levels.
Raj loves trekking, travelling and watching sports and he is an avid Manchester United fan. Now that his adult children no longer live at home, he loves spending time with his wife to create a work/life balance.
