Kamal joined the company in 1989, initially on the operational side of the business and going on to take over the management of logistics. He was appointed to the board in 1990 and has worked alongside his fellow founders and the Executive board members since then to grow the successful business Sigma is today.
Kamal was instrumental in starting the Parallel Import Operation – OPD Laboratories – before handing over its management to Manish Shah. Kamal has also helped the company establish its ever expanding portfolio of services including the development of Sigma’s comprehensive range of OTC medicines.
Kamal is a gym enthusiast and he also enjoys walking and playing golf for health and fitness. Similar to his two elder brothers and co-founders of Sigma, he is involved in supporting charities and communities both in the UK and internationally, particularly in India and Kenya.
